Living the
Dream

I’m Isaac Visser. My path has taken me from serving as a Navy Physical Training Instructor and a New Zealand Police trainer to teaching, rugby and building businesses in Finland. I’ve learned by doing and kept setting new targets.

My story

Built in
motion.

I’ve never followed a single industry or a straight career path. The thread is people: teaching them, backing them, learning from them and building places where they can thrive.

New Zealand

Service and people.

I served in the Royal New Zealand Navy as a Physical Training Instructor. I was then a trainer for New Zealand Police, holding the title Staff Safety Tactical Trainer. Both roles demanded clear instruction, trust and composure under pressure.

I also worked with troubled young people and youth at risk. That work taught me to look beyond first impressions and help people find a way forward.

England

Starting with little.

I built a new chapter in England without money behind me, working as a teacher and in real estate for rental properties. Starting again in a different country made me resourceful and willing to step into work I had never done before.

Finland

From change in my pocket to many doors.

I arrived in Finland with the luck of an EU passport through my Dutch grandfather and little more than the change in my pocket. My first business here was Aussie Bar Turku on the river. Since then I have owned and operated more than 20 food and beverage places across Finland, while moving into tourism, fitness, business services and logistics.

In Finland I played and coached rugby internationally. The sport gave me another team and another way to learn leadership in this country.

Some ventures have grown; others have changed shape. I value the people, practical lessons and partnerships in every chapter. Figjam is the brand through which I carry that experience into what comes next.

What I bring

Different roles.
One person.

Facilitator, instructor and teacher are three distinct ways I have worked with people. Owning businesses added a fourth: the daily responsibility of making things happen.

Facilitator

Bring people together and help a shared idea find direction.

Instructor

Teach practical skills with clarity, discipline and confidence.

Teacher

See potential in people and give them space to grow.

Operator

Take responsibility for the team, the experience and the work each day.

Portfolio

Where I build.

Figjam Oy and RedShed are my sole-owned businesses. I build the other ventures with partners.

Figjam Oy

Established in 2012 as my holding company, it remains active in consulting and developing new ventures.

Sole owner

Guest harbor and waterside destination in the archipelago.

Co-owner

Tourism services and local logistics operations.

Co-owner

Food, experiences and seasonal operations in Ruissalo.

Co-owner

Accounting and business support in Southwest Finland.

Co-owner

A functional training gym and community in Paimio.

Sole owner

Year-round grounds and property care in Southwest Finland and the archipelago.

Co-owner

My newest venture: responsible reed cutting and collection, connecting cleaner shores with a sustainable blue economy.

Co-owner

After closing our interiors shops and selling our floating store, we kept the company as a holding company. Jenni is now a Strand Properties Brand Partner; I remain a silent co-owner.

Silent co-owner

These are my individual ownership roles; each venture has its own ownership and operating structure.

What matters most

My real
success.

I arrived in Finland with change in my pocket. Today, when I think about everything this journey has given me, I think first of my beautiful wife and our two incredible children. They made Finland home. The life we’re building together is my greatest success.

Earlier chapters

Successes and
setbacks.

From riverboats and late nights to food, the archipelago and training, every venture shaped what came next. The successes opened doors; the setbacks taught me how to build better.
